Our business began in 2011 when Brad Hollenbaugh began Hollenbaugh’s Trash & Recycling, LLC. We started the business by purchasing a wood recycling business known as Miller’s Wood Recycling in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. As our business continued to grow, in 2016 we purchased JJ Recycling and Garbage from Brad’s parents. JJ Recycling was located in Huntingdon for over 30 years buying scrap metal, hauling garbage in Huntingdon County, and providing recycling services to Huntingdon Borough. When his parents began the business in 1987, Brad was under a year old. He was there from the very beginning watching his parents work together to make their business a success. He grew up within the industry and always knew he wanted to own his own business and purchase their business one day and continue to grow it. We have combined these businesses into one brand, Hollenbaugh’s Trash & Recycling, LLC. Now Brad and his wife Amanda are working the day to day operations of the business along with 12 other employees. Since we have purchased the business we have continued to expand our trash removal services in Huntingdon County, to also service parts of Mifflin, Blair, Bedford, and Snyder Counties. We strive to provide reliable, friendly, and affordable trash removal service to these areas. Along with the residential trash we also provide dumpster and roll off container service to these areas. We currently provide curbside recycling service to select areas and buy non-ferrous scrap metal at our 900 Susquehanna Ave location. As a small family owned business we know the importance of providing exceptional service at a fair price. We truly appreciate every single customer and treat them as part of our family.
